Why did we put Expedia on our website? Well, if you are someone who loves to travel, Expedia is certainly a website you should know about. Granted, there are many websites through which you can book flights, hotels, car rentals, and much more. You can also call travel agents to help you plan your vacation or business trip. Or you can book your flight directly with the airline, your hotel directly on their website, and the car over the phone with the rental car company. But why do it all separately when you can do it all in one place and even get a better deal? And that’s not all you get.
Travel with a safety net
For me, Expedia has always been a good place to book my vacation or business trips. To understand why, I will tell you a little story.
In the past, I often traveled from the U.S. to Japan (no longer necessary because I live there now). Except for one time, I never had a problem. I looked at my hotels, flights, etc on Expedia and booked everything online. My trip to Japan was great, as was the time I spent there, and then the day came to leave. I woke up, looked at my smartphone and…. Shock. I had forgotten that my flight was supposed to leave in the early morning.. not in the afternoon. My flight was gone. This has never happened to me before, so you can imagine I was a little worried (or was I panicking?).
Expedia to the rescue
I called Expedia and explained what had happened. And, believe it or not, they put me on hold for maybe 20 minutes and then offered me a flight for the afternoon. Same airline, great seat, and I even had enough time to have a good lunch before heading to the airport. Best of all, I didn’t have to pay anything for this great service.
By the way, if you want to find your way around a place, I recommend Google Maps. And if you don’t know the local language, the Google Translate App will help you.
