Santa Ride is a great free game for everyone who’s in a real Christmas mood. It’s a racing game where you slip into Santa’s shoes to steer the sley to collect gifts. And, of course, you need to bring them to the children’s homes and throw them into the chimney. This might sound easy, but it isn’t due to time limits and other obstacles. However, it is a simple game mainly aimed at children. But Santa Ride is fun even for older children, like me 😉
What’s the story?
Don’t worry. This time no fireworks were causing the Reindeers to panic and getting Santa Claus in trouble like last year. There was just a little bit of bad weather. The ride got a little bumpy, and some gifts slipped from the sley. When Santa realized it, his new super-fast sley was already halfway around the world. So Santa decided to deliver all other gifts first and then turn around to collect and deliver the lost ones. There is no doubt that there will be a big party in the end, and the elves would dance and have fun again.

Santa Ride is not just a racing game. It provides an atmosphere that gets you into the right Christmas spirit. You will steer the sley at night through a beautiful little village that sits in a beautiful landscape. Christmas decorations on the houses, snow on the ground and the trees, Christmas carols playing in the background, all that together provides a great experience and fun for the whole family.
Regarding the controls, you should have a look into the “Options” before playing the game. You steer the sley with the arrow keys. Collecting and throwing the gifts into the chimneys of the houses is done using the space bar. Be aware that you have to be fast enough to collect the gifts (or other things), otherwise you are just pushing them around. After throwing a gift into a chimney, you also want to let the children know that you have delivered the gift. You do this by pressing the H key for the familiar “Ho Ho Ho” of Santa. Oh, and to make sure the reindeers are in a good mood and have enough energy, you need to collect the carrots you find on the way.
