The Tablacus Explorer is one of the free tools that I always install first when setting up a new computer. It is a replacement for Windows Explorer, and I can only recommend giving it a try. When I say replacement, I do not mean that it removes the Windows Explorer and is, from that point on, the only Explorer on your system. No, the Tablacus Explorer will be an additional option. But because it allows customization of its Layout with multiple Views and Tabs, I use mainly this very helpful alternative.
Advantages of Tablacus Explorer
I already mentioned the multi-view, multi-tab layouts. But why is this important to me? Well, my job and my hobbies require me to spend a lot of time at my computer. And I often need to copy or move files from and to other folders. With Windows Explorer, these tasks become very time-consuming and chaotic. I can, of course, open multiple Explorer windows. Still, next time I start my computer I have to open all of them again. Windows does not remember which folders I had open before I shut down my computer.
The Tablacus Explorer makes all this a smooth experience. All views and tabs are saved. Whenever I restart my computer, I can start exactly where I left.
More Options with Plugins
I do not need more than what is already provided in the Tablacus Explorer. But if you have something in mind that you would like to have, there are many plugins available. There is, for example, a plugin for a Preview function for basic file types. And another plugin gives you the option to change the color of your tabs. If you are interested in the plugins, then go to the Homepage of Tablacus Explorer. There are several links to different plugin providers.
